Grease Trap Bacteria (Slow-Dissolve Blocks)

These slow-dissolving blocks gradually release beneficial bacteria for up to 30 days, depending on the amount of water flow they are exposed to. They contain a high concentrstion of beneficial bacteria that naturally eliminates problem-causing organic wastes found in commercial grease traps, holding tanks and wastewater treatment systems. This formulation naturally removes FOG (fats, oils and greases), fruit & vegetable wastes, sugars, starches and proteins. It also lowers BOD and COD.

  • Eliminates Fats, Oils & Greases: The formulation will eliminate problem-causing fats, oils & greases used in commercial food establishments.
  • Eliminates Food & Other Wastes: Degrades food particles and other wastes found in grease traps.
  • Eliminates Odors: This product eliminates odors that are commonly caused due to overflows and/or excess amounts of wastes building up in grease traps between pump-outs.
  • Easy-To-Use: Since this product slowly releases the active ingredients, you can simply drop one block per month into the trap and walk away!  It will slowly degrade over a few weeks to a month’s timeframe (depending upon water flow).

Grease Traps:

Remove the lid of the grease trap. Tie off the bacteria block so it is submerged, but not sitting on the bottom of the grease trap. The size block needed depends on the size of the grease trap: 1 lb Block: Treats a grease trap 100-200 gallons in size, for up to weeks 2 lb Block: Treats a grease trap 200-500 gallons in size, for up to 4 weeks 5 lb Block: Treats a grease trap 500-1000 gallons in size, for up to 4 weeks 10 lb Block: Treats a grease trap 1000-2000 gallons in size, for up to 4 weeks
